Our Story

Eugene Giesinger is the head chef and owner of Eugene's in Sydney's Bronte. After working for decades in award winning restaurants in Sydney, London and Melbourne, in mid-2012, Giesinger opened Eugene's cafe. There his passion for locally sourced Australian produce and high quality food at a reasonable price has flourished.

Eugene's is a beloved Bronte institution, where the local community and visitors alike come together to enjoy clean, delicious everyday cuisine in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

There you will find delicious fare, at a reasonable price. Brewing award winning Ona coffee, we serve fresh and tasty meals, snacks and drinks designed to satisfy. Come and try our house-made cakes and pastries, and our moreish sandwiches on organic sourdough. Treat yourself to our spectacular lunch time buffet and a'la carte menu.
